Netflix Picks – May 2017

Have you had a sift through Netflix recently and been uninspired? Let us point you in the right direction. Our May Netflix picks includes everything from Westerns to documentaries via romance and surrealism…

James McAvoy stars in what is, at times, frankly a baffling film. It’s unique and will defy your expectations- Trance is worth watching as an experience alone.

The Magnificent Seven

Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke team up to take on a private army. As an evil industrialist attempts to bulldoze over the rights, wishes and lives of a small town Washington heads up a team of gutsy gunslingers.

Yes it’s cliched isn’t it? But it’s good fun.

Suite Francaise

War time romance in occupied France. Suite Francaise is critically acclaimed and new to Netflix.

If a high-octane old west shoot-em-up doesn’t take your fancy, how about a story of real-world grit?

Sergio ‘Maravilla’ Martinez was a world champion boxer who was forced to fight and overcome the darker, more bureaucratic (or corrupt, depending on your side of the argument,) side of the sport in order to fight his way to the top. He’s inspirational both in and outside the ring and his story transcends the sport of boxing.
